I'll be on Holidays until the 17th of July! This means I'll have a lot more spare time on my hands, and I have already started on the next installment of my novel "Relic".

I have also nearly completed colouring "Young Orzandz" (I know it's taking forever but it'll be out soon!)

That's all I have to say... I was sick of constantly seeing my previous entry so much.

After being plagued by parasitic mosquitos resulting in my feet and calves blistered violently, surviving the dreaded illness known to some as "Hayfever" and the mighty force of procrastination from "Skyward Sword" and various other appointments and commitments I am free to resume weekly updates.

I have purchased a new, brand spanking new Intuos 4 WACOM tablet with accessory kit, carry case and also featuring softwares: Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0, Correl Painter Sketch Pad, Autodesk Sketchbook Express, Nik Colour Efex Pro 3 and the new brushes. This new baby handles like a breeze, allowing me to doodle with pressure sensitivity, featuring precision mode, shortcuts at the push of a single button and navigation buttons conveniently allocated at the side of the working area of the tablet. Valued at $450.00 at my expense (well worth it!)

05/12/11, 9:30 AM: Interview and practical drawing test for the two year Fine Arts course I will be starting next year. No doubt I will learn more and more techniques and improve the way I see and create now.

As you can see, from my first couple of deviations my artworks showed signs of improvement as I gained familiarity and knowlege with working with a graphic tablet and this new WACOM tablet is an amazing product. Just think of the possibilities.

~Expect More Frequently~

One of the main issues with colouring in vector programs like Adobe Illustrator is the time consumption, as changing brush sizes can be a bit repetitive and needlessly inconvenient. The new shortcuts seem to work amazingly from changing brush sizes, zooming in/out, scrolling and so on... This will cut the time it takes to do artwork nearly in half!

Looking forward to making more art with this baby... I can't wait personally.

Last week I completed Orzandz colouring completely, so thast was last weeks update if you missed it.

No story update this week as well as no artwork update. Really sorry . Been busy with life (Appointments, parties, babysitting, and also have a severe case of mosquito bites all over my feet. SO ITCHY!

The story update will be post-poned two weeks from now but hopefully I can at least get a decent Fidihl sketch or a young Orzandz sketch by this week.

Okay Chapter 4 is up and there are two concept sketches for Fidihl in the scrapbook section of my gallery. They are simply quick sketches that give an indication as to what I may want them to look like.

Next week, i'm definitely going for a decent drawing and if I like it, I'll digitize it and do the line art.

The next character in line would be Orzandz in his town garments with his weapons.


Please let me know if i'm dropping my standard with this schedule i'm trying to keep. If you see ANYTHING that sounds lame, cheesy, not thought out properly, contradictory PLEASE let me know. Don't get me wrong, I love compliments but I find it hard to believe that I get it almost 100% right every single time. This story is coming out of my head, with limited planing and research. The structure is insanely dumb. 1st Chaper= 3 pages. 4th Chaper= 11 pages.

Anyway that's enough negativity. Can't wait to get my hands on the upcoming "Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword" which will be out Nov 24th in Australia if I remember correctly. I pre-ordered it but I didn't get the golden wiimote and soundtrack. I'm not a sucker for merchandise... I just play the games lol. Am I the only one who thinks like that? I wouldn't mind the soundtrack cd... but I don't want the golden wiimote as well.
